
👉Ingredients:
✅️8 medium fresh beets
✅️1 cup vinegar
✅️1/2 cup sugar
✅️1½ teaspoons whole cloves
✅️1½ teaspoons whole allspice
✅️1/2 teaspoon salt
👉Directions:
🔹️1. Scrub the beets clean and trim the tops to about 1 inch.
🔹️2. Place the beets in a Dutch oven and cover with water.
🔹️3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer (covered) for 25–30 minutes, or until tender
🔹️4. Remove from the water and let cool.
🔹️5. Peel the beets, slice them, and place in a bowl. Set aside.
🔹️6. In a small saucepan, combine the vinegar, sugar, cloves, allspice, and salt.
🔹️7. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 5 minutes.
🔹️8. Carefully pour the hot mixture over the sliced beets.
🔹️9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors soak in.
🔹️10. Drain before serving.
