Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, if frozen)
1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or finely diced
1/2 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or gouda work well)
1/4 cup cream cheese or ricotta (optional, for creaminess)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 tsp dried herbs (oregano, thyme, or Italian seasoning)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 egg (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds or grated Parmesan (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the Chicken Filling:
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil (or butter) in a pan over medium heat.
Sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent (about 3 minutes). Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
Stir in the shredded chicken, season with salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in the shredded cheese and cream cheese (if using). Set aside.
3. Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 6 equal strips (about 2 inches wide).
Spread a thin layer of the chicken and cheese filling along one long edge of each strip.
