Ingredients

For the dough:

250 g wheat flour

150 ml warm water

1 sachet of baker’s yeast (about 7 g)

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the topping:

200 g tomato sauce

200 g mozzarella

Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions, olives, etc.)

Herbs (oregano, basil)

Instructions

1. Prepare the dough:

In a bowl, mix the yeast with the warm water and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.

In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and yeast mixture.

Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Shape into a ball and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
