A dish that combines flavour, texture and versatility, perfect for any special occasion or simply to pamper yourself with a homemade delicacy. Its filling can be adapted to the tastes of each diner, but today I bring you a version that does not fail: a juicy, well-seasoned roll with a balance of flavors that will make it irresistible.
Ingredients:
For the meat:
1 kg ground beef or pork
2 eggs
100 g breadcrumbs
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
For the filling:
200 g cooked ham
200 g sliced cheese (mozzarella or dambo)
2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
1/2 red bell pepper in strips
Fresh spinach (optional)
For assembly and cooking:
Cling film or parchment paper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup beef broth or white wine
Preparation:
1. Prepare the meat mixture
In a large bowl, place the ground beef and add the eggs, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, mustard, salt, pepper, nutmeg and parsley. Mix everything very well with your hands until you get a homogeneous and well-integrated dough.
2. Stretch the meat
On a clean surface, place plastic wrap or parchment paper and spread the meat mixture into an even rectangle about 1 cm thick.
