Ingredients (makes 8 bagels)
For the dough:
3 1/2 cups bread flour (for extra chew) 🌾
2 tsp instant yeast 🍞
1 tbsp sugar 🍬
1 1/4 cups warm water (not too hot) 💧
1 1/2 tsp salt 🧂
For boiling:
2 liters water 💦
1 tbsp baking soda (for that crispy crust!) 🥄
Toppings (optional):
Sesame seeds 🌱
Poppy seeds 🌸
Everything seasoning 🧄🌿
Coarse salt 🧂
🍽️ Instructions
1️⃣ Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead for 8-10 minutes (by hand or stand mixer) until smooth and elastic.
