Ingredients:
3 ½ cups (420g) all-purpose flour
2 ½ tsp instant yeast
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup (240ml) warm water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large egg (optional, for extra moisture and richness)
Instructions:

Step 1: Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water and 1 tbsp sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Sprinkle 2 ½ tsp of instant yeast over the water and let it sit for 5-7 minutes. The mixture should start to foam—this shows the yeast is activated.
