Classic Churros with Caramel Sauce
Ingredients:
250 ml water
100 g butter
1 pinch of salt
200 g flour
2 eggs
Oil for frying
Sugar and cinnamon for coating
Caramel sauce:
150 g sugar
60 ml liquid cream
30 g butter
Preparation:
In a saucepan, heat the water, butter and salt. When the mixture boils, add the flour all at once and mix vigorously until the dough comes away from the sides.
Off the heat, add the eggs one by one, mixing well between each addition.
Heat the oil. Using a pocket fitted with a star nozzle, form churros and dip them in the hot oil until they are golden.
Coat them with sugar and cinnamon.
For the caramel sauce, melt the sugar in a saucepan without water. Once the caramel is golden, add the cream while stirring, then the butter.
Serve the churros with the caramel sauce.
