Ingredients
For the Potato Strips:

  • 3 potatoes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Parsley, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 200 g cheese, grated (reserve 50 g for the sauce)
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 5 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp flour (as needed for texture)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 300 ml milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Directions
Prepare the Potatoes:

  • Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and let them cool slightly.
  • Mash the potatoes in a bowl until smooth.
  • Add parsley, onion, garlic, diced bell pepper, and 50 g of grated cheese.
