Why You’ll Love This Recipe:

  • No-Bake & Easy: Perfect for busy holiday schedules.
  • Kid-Friendly: Fun to make with children.
  • Crowd-Pleaser: Everyone loves Oreos, and the Grinch theme makes them even better!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (36 cookies) Oreos (regular, not Double Stuf) 🍪
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened) 🧀
  • 16 oz green candy melts or green almond bark 💚
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother dipping)
  • Red heart sprinkles or red M&Ms ❤️

Instructions:

Step 1: Crush the Oreos

1️⃣ Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they turn into fine crumbs. If you don’t have a processor, place them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
2️⃣ Reserve 1 tablespoon of crumbs for garnish (optional).

Step 2: Make the Filling

1️⃣ In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese. Mix with a spoon or electric mixer until fully combined. The mixture should be thick and sticky.

Step 3: Form the Balls

1️⃣ Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Chill in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes or freeze for 15 minutes to firm up.

Step 4: Melt the Candy Coating

1️⃣ In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted and smooth.
2️⃣ If the coating seems too thick, stir in 1 tsp coconut oil to thin it out for easier dipping.

Step 5: Dip the Balls

1️⃣ Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted green candy. Tap off any excess by gently tapping the fork on the edge of the bowl.
2️⃣ Place dipped balls back onto the parchment paper.

Step 6: Add the Grinch Heart

1️⃣ Immediately place a red heart sprinkle or M&M on the top of each ball before the coating sets. This represents the Grinch’s small heart that grows three sizes!

Step 7: Let Them Set

1️⃣ Let the Oreo balls sit at room temperature until the candy coating hardens, about 30 minutes. For faster setting, place them in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
