500 gr. of strong flour
100 gr. of sugar
2 gr. of dry baker’s yeast
190 ml. of whole milk
200 gr. of softened butter
One egg
250 gr. of raisins
60 ml. of white rum
150 gr. of candied fruit
One teaspoon of vanilla extract
50 gr. of flaked almonds
Half a teaspoon of ground cardamom seeds
Half a teaspoon of grated nutmeg
Half a teaspoon of ground allspice
A quarter teaspoon of ground cinnamon
50 gr. of melted butter
100 gr. of icing sugar
Zest of a lemon

How to prepare Christmas Stollen, German dessert
To enjoy a delicious Christmas stollen, German dessert, the first thing we must do is mix 100 gr. of strong flour with 100 ml. of milk and the yeast. We cover it and let it ferment, preferably all night.

Next, we put the raisins and rum in a bowl and let it marinate, also all night.

The next day we mix the spices with the rest of the strong flour and add to the mixture we made the day before the remaining milk, the flour with the spices, the sugar, the egg, the vanilla extract and the lemon zest. We knead and let it rest for 10 minutes.
