Ingredients
- 1 liter of filtered water
- 500ml of coconut water
- 1 piece of fresh ginger (4-5 cm), peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/4 glass cranberry juice (optional)
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 1/2 glass fresh orange juice
- Juice of 2 small lemons (squeezed fresh)
Instructions
- Heat the Water: Begin by heating the filtered water in a large pot until it reaches a gentle simmer. This will help infuse the ingredients and bring out their flavors.
- Add Ginger and Spices: Add the sliced ginger, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg to the pot. Allow it to simmer for about 5-7 minutes to fully infuse the water with the warming spices and ginger.
- Add Coconut Water and Coconut Oil: Remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly. Once it’s warm but not hot, add the coconut water and coconut oil, stirring until the oil melts and blends well.
- Add Fresh Juices: Squeeze the juice of the two lemons and pour it into the mixture along with the fresh orange juice. If you’re using cranberry juice, add it at this stage as well.
- Stir and Serve: Stir everything together and taste. You can serve this drink warm or at room temperature. It’s best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to two days.
