Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade, thawed if frozen)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon flour (to dust the pastry)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Beef Filling:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened and fragrant (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes).

  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Add grated cheese to the beef mixture and mix to combine.
