How to Follow
Warm up the oven: Set the oven temperature to 425°F, or 220°C.

The dry ingredients should be prepared: Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a medium-sized bowl. To make the mixture seem like fine breadcrumbs, add the cold butter and mix it in with your fingertips.
Gradually Add the Milk: While stirring constantly, gradually add the milk to the dry ingredients until a dough is formed, free of lumps. Sticky dough is the desired consistency. To get the desired consistency, add more milk if needed.
In a well-floured surface, spoon the dough and knead it. Before kneading the dough two or three times to coat it with flour and smooth the surface, generously sprinkle it with flour. Shape the dough into a circle that is about 1 inch thick.

To make the Scones, roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter dusted with flour to cut it into 2-inch circles. Lift the cutter straight up without turning and press it straight down to make sure the scones rise correctly.
Get the Baking Started: Arrange the scone rounds on a baking sheet that has been oiled and dusted with flour. Lightly coat the surfaces with the combination of beaten egg yolk and milk.
For 12–15 minutes, in a preheated oven, bake the scones until they are firm and golden.
The ezoic
Allow 30 minutes for the cooked scones to cool after removing them from the oven. To make the scones softer, place a clean tea towel over them while they cool.
