  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120ml) buttermilk (or regular milk mixed with 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice, left to sit for 5 minutes)
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
