
🥘 Ultimate Slow Cooker Pot Roast
🍖 A tender, melt-in-your-mouth roast with hearty veggies and rich flavors — pure comfort food!
🌟 Ingredients:
🔹 3 lb beef chuck roast
🔹 2 tbsp olive oil
🔹 🧂 Salt & pepper, to taste
🔹 🧄 4 cloves garlic, minced
🔹 🧅 1 large onion, sliced
🔹 🥕 4 carrots, chopped
🔹 🥔 3 potatoes, peeled & quartered
🔹 🍖 2 cups beef broth
🔹 🍷 1 cup red wine (or extra beef broth)
🔹 🍅 2 tbsp tomato paste
🔹 🌿 2 tsp dried thyme
🔹 🌿 2 tsp dried rosemary
🔹 🍃 2 bay leaves
🔹 🥄 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Season roast with 🧂 salt & pepper.
2️⃣ Heat olive oil in a skillet → sear roast on all sides until browned. ➡️ Transfer to slow cooker.
3️⃣ Add 🧄 garlic + 🧅 onion to the skillet, sauté until fragrant.
4️⃣ Place 🥕 carrots + 🥔 potatoes around roast in slow cooker. Top with garlic & onion.
5️⃣ Mix 🍖 broth + 🍅 tomato paste + 🌿 herbs + 🍃 bay leaves + 🥄 Worcestershire + 🍷 wine. Pour over roast & veggies.
6️⃣ Cover & cook on LOW ⏳ 8–10 hrs, until beef is tender & falling apart.
7️⃣ Remove 🍃 bay leaves ➡️ shred beef & serve with veggies & sauce.
📝 Notes:
👉 For thicker gravy: whisk 1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 cup cooking liquid, then stir back in.
👉 Best served with 🥔 mashed potatoes or 🥖 crusty bread.
