
Beef and Potato Casserole with Minced Meat
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef (minced meat)
4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
1 cup milk
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp oil or butter
Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add oil and sautΓ© onions until soft. Add garlic and ground beef. Cook until beef is browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Drain excess fat.
3. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Stir until smooth.
4. Assemble the casserole:
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Layer half the sliced potatoes in the bottom.
Spread half the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
Pour half the soup mixture over the beef.
Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, beef, and soup.
Cover tightly with foil.
5. Bake covered for 1 hour.
6. Uncover, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and bake an additional 15–20 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
7. Cool slightly, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.
