Once the washing cycle of the washing machine is complete, many leave the door closed, to save space and reduce the space occupied. Others leave it open to allow the inside to breathe and dry the inside of the device, then close it after a short notice.
At this stage, one wonders who is right, who leaves it open or who leaves it closed. Leaving it open means soiling it with germs, bacteria and dust that come from the outside, while leaving it closed can mean allowing moisture to form.
Instructions for leaving the door of the washing machine
According to the experts, the door should remain open for 24 hours after the washing has been completed, to allow the washing machine time to dry completely and to avoid the formation of unpleasant odours and mould.
