The best method to clean oven glass
The oven is an indispensable part of every kitchen, helping us prepare all kinds of dishes – from juicy meats to delicious desserts.
Since the oven is used frequently, its glass can easily become dirty with grease and food residue.
If your oven has double-glazed windows, cleaning the glass can be even more challenging. However, there are effective and easy cleaning methods that don’t require much effort and save time and money.
Required materials
400 ml water
100 ml of alcohol vinegar (alternatively white)
Spray bottle
Metal hanger
2 kitchen towels
Elastic bands
Procedure
1. Prepare a homemade cleaner:
Combine 400 ml of water with 100 ml of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. This mixture is an effective and safe cleaner for oven glass.
2. Clean the inside of the oven:
Spray the inside of the oven with the mixture and wipe with one of the kitchen towels to remove grease and food residue.
3. Prepare the metal hanger:
Unfold the metal hanger and fold it back to create a long, flexible tool that can be used between the oven glass panels.
4. Prepare the kitchen towel:
Spray one of the kitchen towels with the household cleaner and wrap it around the folded metal hanger.
5. Attach the towel to the hanger:
Use elastic bands to secure the cloth to the hanger. Make sure it is securely fastened so it doesn’t move around while cleaning.
6. Clean between the glass:
Place the hanger with the damp cloth between the two oven glass panels and scrub gently to remove any accumulated dirt. The metal hanger will allow you to reach hard-to-reach areas.
7. Remove the residue:
Repeat the procedure with another, dry cloth to remove all traces of the cleaner and leave the oven glass clean and shiny.
