Russian Napoleon Cake Recipe



Ingredients:
For the Cake Layers:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1/2 cup cold water
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Custard Cream:
4 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
6 large egg yolks
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For Decoration:
White chocolate shavings
Whole walnuts
Instructions:
1.Prepare the Cake Layers:
-In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
-In a small bowl, mix the cold water and vinegar. Gradually add this mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until the dough comes together.
