How to Clean a Stainless Steel Iron

Stainless steel is durable, but it can easily turn black over time. Fortunately, a simple homemade paste can restore its shine.

Ingredients :

      • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
      • 80 ml of cold water
      • A soft cloth

Method :

      1. Mix baking soda with a little water until you get a thick paste.
      2. Apply this paste to the soleplate of the iron, paying particular attention to burnt spots.
      3. Leave on for 10 minutes.
      4. Rub gently with a damp cloth to remove the paste.
      5. Dry with a clean cloth.

Bonus tip:  If any residue remains, rub with a little white vinegar for maximum degreasing effect.
