If there’s one particularly difficult and heavy household chore to do, it’s cleaning the stovetop . Not only is it prone to the accumulation of food particles and fats of all kinds, but it also generates heat that hardens it and makes it very difficult to remove.
Luckily, there are tricks that can make the job easier and significantly less difficult without having to resort to harsh products like bleach or tools like a metal sponge that can scratch surfaces.
If you want to keep your stovetop spotless and free of food residue and grease, use one of the following methods and be amazed by the results.
First method
Mix 120ml white vinegar with 120ml liquid soap and 250ml water. Pour onto the stove and leave for a few minutes, then rub with a sponge and finally dry with a clean cloth.
Liquid soap dissolves grease, vinegar dissolves stubborn dirt and disinfects thoroughly.
Second method
Lemon is a natural degreaser and can be used to clean pans, cutlery and even the hob. It is particularly effective against caked-on fat and needs to be mixed with other ingredients to be even more effective.
Mix the juice of 4 lemons with a little water, add 4 tablespoons of coarse salt and a tablespoon of baking soda and pour it on the stove.
Leave on for 5 minutes, then scrub well with a sponge. Finally clean with a damp cloth.
