1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic; drain excess fat.
In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
Layer half of the potatoes, beef mixture, and soup mixture in the baking dish. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Uncover, top with cheddar, and bake an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
