Cheesy Sausage and Potato Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, sliced into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 12 oz (340g) smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Chopped chives or green onions for garnish

Instructions:

Roast the Potatoes:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
