Vegan French Toast Sticks

  • Stale bread 8 slices
  • Dairy-free milk 1/2 cup. Use only plant-based milk such as almond, soy, and hemp milk
  • Tofu 12 ounce
  • Maple syrup 1tbsp
  • Flaxseeds 1/2tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1/2tsp
  • Vanilla Extract 1/2tsp
  • Vegan butter 2-3 tbsp. Use it for frying purposes

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • Granulated sugar 1/3 cup
  • Ground cinnamon 1/2tbsp

Topping

  • Powdered sugar
  • Almond Milk
  • Fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and sliced bananas
  • Maple Syrup

Instructions
Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  1. Take a blender.
  2. Add ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar to the blender.
  3. Blend it until it combines well
  4. Preserve this mixture.
  5. Make French Toast Sticks
    Prepare the French sticks by 3 methods.
    Griddle

    1. Cut bread loaves into thick strips by using a sharp knife.
    2. Add all ingredients like non-dairy milk, maple syrup, flax seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and tofu in a blender.
    3. Blend all ingredients until it give a smooth texture.
    4. Shift this mixture into a large bowl.
    5. Now, dip bread sticks into this mixture for 20-30 seconds.
    6. Meanwhile, add vegan butter to a nonstick pan. Melt butter over medium flame.
    7. Next, add coated breadsticks to the pan.
    8. To make it crispy and tender, cook each side for 3-4 minutes.
    9. The French toast is ready to eat.
    10. Drizzle some maple sugar and serve it.

    Air- Fryer

    1. Cut bread loaves into thin strips by using a sharp knife.
    2. Add all ingredients like non-dairy milk, maple syrup, flax seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and tofu in a blender.
    3. Mix all ingredients until it give a smooth texture.
    4. Shift this mixture to a large bowl.
    5. Now, soak each breadstick in this mixture for 20-30 seconds.
    6. After that, transfer these sticks into an air fryer.
    7. Place all sticks in a sequence-wise.
    8. Bake it for 5-6 minutes or until brown.

    Oven

    1. For baking, We will set the oven temperature at 375 degrees.
    2. Cut bread loaves into thin strips by using a sharp knife.
    3. Add all ingredients like non-dairy milk, maple syrup, flax seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and tofu in a blender.
    4. Combine all ingredients until it give a smooth texture.
    5. Shift this mixture into a large bowl.
    6. Now, coat each breadsticks into this mixture for 20-30 seconds.
    7. Meanwhile, add vegan butter to the griddle. Heat it until it melts.
    8. Next, place coated bread sticks on the griddle.
    9. Cook it for 3-4 minutes.
    10. The crispy and soft Vegan French Toast Sticks are ready to eat.

    Serving Suggestions
    You can enjoy these fresh blueberries, raspberries, maple sugar, pancakes, and cashew icing.
    Cashew Icing: To make cashew icing, you need only three ingredients 1/3 cup cashews, 1/2 cup plant-based dairy milk, and 2 dates.
    Mix all ingredients until it gives a creamy consistency.
    Serve all the serving suggestions with French toast.
    Variations
    Instead of tofu, you can use coconut cream, apple sauce, ripe bananas, or even sweet potato puree.
