Prepare the Cake Batter
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Mix Eggs and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat 3 eggs with a pinch of salt, 150 grams of sugar, and 8 grams of vanilla sugar or grated orange zest until light and fluffy.
Add Oil and Juice: Gradually add 80 ml of oil and 90 ml of orange juice, mixing well after each addition.
Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift together 200 grams of flour and 15 grams of baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until well combined.
Pour into Pan: Grease a baking pan with a little oil or butter, and pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Chocolate Topping
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of bitter cocoa, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
Add Milk: Gradually add 250 ml of milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Cook: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Add Chocolate and Butter: Remove from heat and add 60 grams of dark chocolate and 1 teaspoon of butter. Stir until the chocolate and butter are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
Assemble the Cake
Cool Cake: Allow the baked cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Add Topping: Once the cake is completely cool, pour the chocolate topping over the cake, spreading it evenly.
Dust with Powdered Sugar: Before serving, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
