1. Prepare the Crust:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Mix crushed vanilla wafers (or graham crackers), melted butter, and sugar.

3. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.

2. Make the Cream Layer:

1. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

2. Fold in Cool Whip and spread over the cooled crust.

3. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the strawberry topping.

3. Prepare the Strawberry Topping:

1. In a saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat until thickened.

2. Remove from heat and stir in strawberry gelatin until dissolved. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.

3. Fold in fresh strawberries.

4. Assemble & Chill:

1. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream layer.

2. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until fully set.

3. Slice and serve!
