Ingredients:
1 thick beef steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your favorite cut)
2 large fresh eggs
2 large potatoes (preferably russet)
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Cooking oil or butter (for frying)
Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or your favorite steak rub
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:
Take the steak out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking to let it come to room temperature.
Season the steak generously with salt, pepper, and any extra seasonings you enjoy.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in some oil.
Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish, adjusting time depending on the thickness.
