I mix 400 g flour with 250 g butter for the dream pieces

This is how I make them, first separate the eggs and mix the egg yolks with the diced butter and the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl to form a dough.
So, to get a particularly smooth dough, you can continue kneading with your hands at the end.
Now divide the dough into 3 portions and form into balls. Wrap them in cling film and place them in the fridge for about 1 hour.
Then form sausages from the dough about 1-2 cm thick and divide them with a knife into 2-3 cm wide pieces and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Now the small pieces of dough do not rise any further, so there is no need to keep a large distance between them.
Now bake in the oven at 180 degrees top/bottom heat for 12-15 minutes and then leave to cool on a wire rack.
Only when the little biscuits have almost cooled down should you roll them all over in icing sugar. Our tip: keep the dream pieces in a biscuit tin, they will keep for a few days.
