The family calls it “Cranberry Bliss.” It’s so simple, but it looks like you spent hours on it!

1 cup orange juice
Directions
Rinse cranberries under cold water, discarding any that are soft or discolored.
In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and orange juice.
Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until cranberries have burst and sauce has thickened.

Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
Transfer to a serving dish or airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Variations and Tips

For a variation, add a cinnamon stick or a pinch of nutmeg while the sauce simmers for a warm, spicy flavor. If you prefer a less sweet sauce, reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup. You can also substitute half of the orange juice with water for a milder citrus flavor. For a little texture, add a handful of chopped walnuts or pecans once the sauce has cooled.
