Ricotta and Mortadella Fritters Recipe
Ingredients:
250 g (9 oz) ricotta cheese
150 g (5 oz) mortadella (finely chopped)
1 large egg
50 g (1/4 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
100 g (3/4 cup) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Olive oil (for frying)
Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil, finely chopped, optional)
Lemon zest (optional, for an added fresh touch)
Instructions:
Prepare the Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, finely chopped mortadella, grated Parmesan, and egg. Stir until well mixed.
Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture, and season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg. You can also add fresh herbs and lemon zest for extra flavor if desired.
