The first method is to mix white wine vinegar with four teaspoons of fine salt in a bowl. Using a soft, clean sponge, rub the resulting paste on the soleplate of the iron, then remove the excess with a damp cloth. By doing so, in addition to removing stains, the scratches will also disappear and your appliance will be like new.
With white wine vinegar, you can also put into practice another effective remedy. Pour half a glass into the water tank of the appliance and let it evaporate completely, in this way you will make the fountains of the iron flow perfectly.
To properly degrease the surface of the iron, you can also pour coarse salt on a sheet of baking paper. Then pass the very hot plate over it and you will see that after doing so, it will return perfectly shiny. You can also remove the burns that have formed on the hot plate with a simple candle. What? First, turn on the iron, but keep it at the lowest temperature.
Then slide the candle over the hot plate, especially on the burns, the wax will melt with the heat. At this point, take a dry, soft cloth and quickly and vigorously wipe the liquid that flows onto the plate. The burns will disappear completely and the appliance will shine again as when you bought it.
