  1. Preheat your air fryer: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the potatoes:
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
    • Pat them dry with a towel.
    • Pierce each potato a few times with a fork (this helps steam escape while cooking).
  3. Season the potatoes:
    • Rub each potato with a little olive oil (or melted butter) to coat the skin.
    • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like (garlic powder, paprika, or onion powder work great).
  4. Air fry the potatoes:
    • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren’t touching each other.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes and the thickness of the skin. Flip the potatoes halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
    • You can check if they’re done by inserting a fork or knife into the center – it should go in easily without resistance.
  5. Serve: Once the potatoes are cooked, carefully remove them from the air fryer. Let them cool for a minute before slicing open. You can top with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, chives, or any other favorite toppings.

Enjoy your crispy, fluffy air fryer baked potato!
