Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs cube steak
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cube Steak

  • In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Dredge each piece of cube steak in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

2. Brown the Cube Steak

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Brown the cube steak on both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the skillet.
  • Transfer the browned cube steak to the crock pot, layering them evenly.
